Nicholas Loffredo, DO
Dr. Loffredo was born and raised in Lockport, NY. He began his journey in medicine volunteering at Lockport Memorial Hospital (LMH) in high school. Dr. Loffredo graduated from Lockport High School with honors while participating in 3 varsity sports. He then attended undergraduate college at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) where he received a BS as a physician assistant earning multiple dean’s list awards. During the summers off in college he returned to LMH and worked as a nursing aide.
Dr. Loffredo then began working has a physician assistant at Rochester General Hospital (RGH) Orthopedic Surgery Department. While working full time at RGH for 4 years as a physician assistant he also returned to college and completed his premed courses. Dr. Loffredo was then accepted to LECOM medical school in Erie, PA graduating with honors and ranked 32:186 in his class. Dr. Loffredo received an award for compassion and patient care during his medical school clinical training. He was then accepted to LECOM Health Orthopedic Surgical Residency Program. In his 4th and 5th years of residency Dr. Loffredo was nominated chief resident and supervised 25 orthopedic surgery residents in his program. During the 5 year residency he obtained a MS degree through LECOM in education and maintained a 4.0 GPA. He also won multiple first prize awards during his time for research in total joint prosthesis and currently has a patent pending for a novel total hip prosthesis.
